October 18, 2007: Our friend Ulf Oesterle of Aux Records is starting a new series at the Redhouse called "Artists as Artists." It's pretty cool. He brings in a couple bands to play and also shows some of the band members' art. Hondo Mesa Record is first on the bill. Larry Hoyt and Corn-Bred will play THIS WEEKEND – October 19. Larry will show some of his work, JB (the bass player in Corn-Bred) will show some of his work, and yours truly will show some of my paintings.
August 30, 2007: Big Hondo Mesa Records news -- Corn-Bred is a finalist for two NAMMY awards (Native American Music Award) -- Best Blues Jazz Recording and Debut Duo or Group of the Year! This is too cool. The Ninth Annual Award Ceremony will be held on October 6, 2007 at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel in Niagara Falls. Plus Corn-Bred is performing.
April 7, 2007: John Engerman will have bi-coastal release concerts/parties. April 23, 2007 in Seattle and April 26, 2007 in Syracuse.
March 10, 2007: 3rd & Main's CD to be released on April 26, 2007 - stay tuned for ordering details.
February 20, 2007: Corn-Bred video posted on the blog.
March 15, 2006:Hondo Mesa Records has started working with a kick-ass blues band ... more to come. Stay tuned.
March 13, 2006: John Engerman's CD has moved to the mix phase.
March 10, 2006: Christiane Pagé is back in the studio to finish her CD, "The Road." It sounds great!
March 1, 2006:Central New York band, 3rd & Main, has been recording cool noir jazz at Hondo Mesa Studios (East). Look for their debut CD later this year.
October 10, 2004: Larry Hoyt's debut CD, "Folksinger/Songwriter," is now available for online ordering in the stuff section.
September 5, 2004: A few samples from Larry Hoyt's new CD are now available.
August 13, 2004: Hondo Mesa Records announces a CD release party for Larry Hoyt's "Folksinger/Songwriter" on Thursday, Sept. 16, at The Red House. Your $15 gets you entry to the event AND a copy of the brand new CD. Doors open at 8:00 p.m.
